ਹਰਿ ਸਚੇ ਤਖਤ ਰਚਾਇਆ ਸਤਿ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਮੇਲਾ ॥

ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੇ ਸੱਚੀ ਸੰਗਤ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਤਖ਼ਤ ਵਾਂਗ ਸਥਾਪਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਜਿੱਥੇ ਗੁਰਸੰਗਤ ਇਕੱਠੀ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉੱਥੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਹਜ਼ੂਰੀ ਦਾ ਅਨੁਭਵ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਨਾਨਕ ਨਿਰਭਉ ਨਿਰੰਕਾਰ ਵਿਚਿ ਸਿਧਾਂ ਖੇਲਾ ॥

ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਨਿਰਭਉ ਅਤੇ ਨਿਰੰਕਾਰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਚ ਦਾ ਰਾਹ ਦਿਖਾਇਆ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਨੇ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਵੱਲ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਆ।

ਗੁਰੁ ਸਿਮਰ ਮਨਾਈ ਕਾਲਕਾ ਖੰਡੇ ਕੀ ਵੇਲਾ ॥

ਗੁਰੂ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਖੰਡੇ ਦੀ ਪਾਹੁਲ ਦੀ ਮਰਯਾਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਕਰਕੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਡਰਤਾ, ਧਰਮ ਅਤੇ ਸੇਵਾ ਦਾ ਰਾਹ ਵਿਖਾਇਆ। ਇਹ ਖਾਲਸਾ ਦੀ ਸਾਜਨਾ ਦਾ ਮਹਾਨ ਪਲ ਸੀ।

ਪੀਵਹੁ ਪਾਹੁਲ ਖੰਡੇਧਾਰ ਹੋਇ ਜਨਮ ਸੁਹੇਲਾ ॥

ਖੰਡੇ ਦੀ ਪਾਹੁਲ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਇੱਕ ਰਸਮ ਨਹੀਂ, ਸਗੋਂ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਜੀਵਨ ਜਿਉਣ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਣ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਰਾਹ 'ਤੇ ਚੱਲ ਕੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਪਣਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਸਫਲ ਬਣਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਗੁਰ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਕੀਨੀ ਖਾਲਸਾ ਮਨਮੁਖੀ ਦੁਹੇਲਾ ॥

ਗੁਰੂ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਨੇ ਖਾਲਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰਸੰਗਤ ਨਾਲ ਜੋੜਿਆ। ਜੋ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਜੀਵਨ ਬਤੀਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਆਤਮਕ ਸੁਖ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਜਦਕਿ ਮਨਮੁਖ ਦੁੱਖਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਟਕਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
