ਜਨਮ ਜਨਮ ਕੇ ਦੂਖ ਨਿਵਾਰੈ ਸੂਕਾ ਮਨੁ ਸਾਧਾਰੈ ॥

ਦਰਸਨੁ ਭੇਟਤ ਹੋਤ ਨਿਹਾਲਾ ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਬੀਚਾਰੈ ॥੧॥

ਮੇਰਾ ਬੈਦੁ ਗੁਰੂ ਗੋਵਿੰਦਾ ॥

ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਅਉੁਖਧੁ ਮੁਖਿ ਦੇਵੈ ਕਾਟੈ ਜਮ ਕੀ ਫੰਧਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉੁ ॥

ਸਮਰਥ ਪੁਰਖ ਪੂਰਨ ਬਿਧਾਤੇ ਆਪੇ ਕਰਣੈਹਾਰਾ ॥

ਅਪੁਨਾ ਦਾਸੁ ਹਰਿ ਆਪਿ ਉੁਬਾਰਿਆ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮ ਅਧਾਰਾ ॥੨॥੬॥੩੪॥

Janam Janam Kae Dhookh Nivaarai Sookaa Man Saadhhaarai ||

The Guru rids man of the afflictions of births over births and lends support to the dried up soul.

ਦਰਸਨੁ ਭੇਟਤ ਹੋਤ ਨਿਹਾਲਾ ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਬੀਚਾਰੇ ॥੧॥

Having His vision, the mortal is blest and dwell he, on the God's Name.

Guru, the image of the World-Lord, is my physician.

Samarathh Purakh Pooran Bidhhaathae Aapae Karanaihaaraa ||

The Omnipotent Perfect Lord, Builder of our destinies is Himself the Doer of deeds.

ਅਪੁਨਾ ਦਾਸੁ ਹਰਿ ਆਪਿ ਉਬਾਰਿਆ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮ ਅਧਾਰਾ ॥੨॥੬॥੩੪॥
Apunaa Dhaas Har Aap Oubaariaa Naanak Naam Adhhaaraa ||2||6||34||

His slave, the Lord Himself saves and hence Nanak seeks the support of the Name alone.
